Job Description:   

Contract position for PHP developer (6 month, with potential for longer term
for the right candidate). Candidate's responsibilities including project
planning, gathering project requirements from end users, documentation,
coding and testing. Candidate will need the ability to work autonomously or
in a team environment as required. Must have excellent work ethic and
attitude, the ability to multi-task, and to complete projects under strict
deadlines. Candidates responding to this posting must currently possess the
eligibility to work in the United States.

All work must be done on site in our place of business in Midtown Manhattan
(in side the NYU Medical Center).

Job Requirements:  

B.S./B.A. in Computer Science
2+ years of professional experience with web and database development,
specifically in PHP and MySQL
Experience with LAMP technologies (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP)
Experience with PEAR and SOAP technologies
Strong knowledge of SQL/MySQL and understanding of relational databases
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and principles
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, DHTML, XML, and JavaScript
Experience managing and maintaining software products throughout the
software life cycle
Ability to communicate effectively with business side clients to gather and
translate functional specs
Strong communication skills
