FortuneCity.com Inc., established in 1997, is one of the world's  
largest independent web service providers. We are credited with  
hosting over 10 million web sites and creating the 11th most visited  
web property on the planet.

We are currently seeking a Junior Programmer  with one or more years  
of experience  to support the growth of MyPhotoAlbum.com and  
FortuneCity.com.  The successful candidate will be part of a quality  
development team working on:

* Publicly-accessed web applications in PHP / MySQL / Apache / AJAX /  
DHTML / Flash
* Back end administrative systems written in Perl
* A Linux/Unix/OS X environment
* Participate in design, coding, testing and deployment of new  
features and new applications with a small team of programmers and  
system administrators.

Minimum qualifications:

* PHP 4/5 experience
* MySQL (you can do queries from the command line)
* Perl and OOP with Perl modules
* CVS or SVR
* Linux/Unix experience (command line, shell scripting, cron jobs,  
automated emails)
* DHTML/Javascript

Definite pluses:
* Experience programming in C
* Experience in Flash development
* Emacs user
* A driving interest in design patterns and their application
* An interest in other languages (Ruby, Lisp, Erlang, OCaml, ASM,  
whatever)
* ASP.NET experience

The final word:
* MUST live in or around the Tri-State area. PLEASE NOTE.
* Bachelor degree in computer science preferred.
* These positions are for ON PREMISE work only in Chelsea, Manhattan
* This is a full time position. U.S. residents only. No contractors  
please.
* Compensation depending on experience
