Heavy.com is currently hiring Senior PHP Developers to join our team
to refine and build the application platform for one of the
Internet's most popular online video and social-networking web sites.
You'll also take part in planning new sites and functionality we are
launching over the coming months.

You should have advanced experience building web applications or
software, specifically in a LAMP environment. You’re likely to have
had experience with high-traffic web sites, caching, n-tier
architecture, MVC-style development or other frameworks, SQL query
optimization, performance tuning, and/or database replication.

At Heavy, you'll get to take a central role in developing our web
site and decisions you make will directly impact our ability to serve
millions of pages per day! You'll be in a relaxed, fun environment
and work with some really smart people. You'll contribute to our team
by solving the technical challenges involved with big databases, big
files, and big traffic.

Requirements

- At least 5 years of professional experience in web development.
- A slew of technical expertise, especially PHP (OOP), MySQL, Apache,
and Linux (RedHat, etc).
- Additional programming and scripting languages.
- Source control (CVS, SVN, with branching experience).
- Ability to constantly improve upon daily process and workflow.
- Experience with social networking or video distribution is a plus.

You must be able to legally work in the US, on-site at our office in
Manhattan. These are full-time positions.

We have multiple positions available for senior level people which
pay anywhere from $80-$105K, depending on the experience you bring to
the table. Prepare to show off your talent and you'll be compensated
accordingly!

To apply, please send your resume and cover letter to techjobs at heavy.com
