This is a full time, on-site, salaried (but may start out as contract)
position in New York City paying 80k --> It starts with equity and a
deferred salary for 2-3 months (based on 80k) till they close on funds, and
after round II, the salary goes up to something more commensurate with

My client is a Manhattan-based, boutique, social-mobile developer.  We are
developing a massive social game for Facebook and are looking to add a Lead
Software Engineer / Technical Architect to the team. 

We are in the process of raising funds for the project but would like to
start interviewing, and get to know the candidate since he will join the
core team, and not only be in charge of designing the game architecture and
scalability but also do the hiring for all technical positions and manage
the dev team. 

This senior position is based in Manhattan and is a contract to hire with
equity in the game project. 

The Lead Software Engineer's role is to assure the successful execution of
the game. This person should have deep technology knowledge and be able to
evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for the delivery of
the game. He should be able to make technological assessments and
evaluations on key points of redundancy across systems and human capital
planning.

Required Skills:

* 5+ years experience leading and managing a team of engineers 
* Experience in the consumer web or games space 
* Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to use cutting edge
technology in our market place 
* Supervise recruitment, training, retention, and organization of all
development staff in accordance with the company hiring process, personnel
policies, and budget requirements 
* Build and manage a top caliber development team and oversee the
development & project management 
* Collaborate with the executive team to assess and recommend technologies
and support company organizational needs 
* Deep technology understanding of LAMP, Flash, Unix, MySQL, Java & Smartfox

* We are looking for an enthusiastic, performance-driven self-starter and
team player 
* Previous start-up experience is a strong plus 
* BA/BS degree - CS/EE/Engineering degree preferred
