Bootstrap Software, a leading software consulting firm in Manhattan, is 
looking for a Senior LAMP Developer to join our team. We're a solid crew 
on the lookout for new talent. You will be assisting us in the building 
and maintenance of web applications.

The environment here is relaxed and the hours are flexible, but we 
always do what needs to get done, do it with high quality and we expect 
the same from applicants.

We welcome code critique, and are always open minded to new 
methodologies. We seek to grow and improve as a collective, top to 
bottom. In addition, we have a live-in cat that sits on computers, a 
full healthy snack cabinet, and we are no strangers to XBox and 
PlayStation3.

• Are a self-motivated person who enjoys making software
• Have tenacious problem solving abilities

• Have strong written and verbal communication skills


The following skills are required for the position:
• 3+ years PHP experience building and designing PHP-based web applications
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Comfortable writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience working in a Linux shell environment


Typical responsibilities for the position would include
• Coding new features for existing web applications
• Data modeling
• Diagnosing and implementing bug fixes
• Optimizing and tuning application performance
• Code review
• Technical leadership and mentoring


The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience working in some / all
of these technologies:
• MySQL and Apache administration
• SVN
• JQuery
• PHP Frameworks such as Kohana, CodeIgniter, CakePHP, or Symphony
• PHP CMSes: Concrete5, Drupal, Joomla
