Hello Group,

I have a client in Manhattan in the real estate industry looking for a strong LAMP Engineer ($50-60/hr).  They will consider either contract or perm candidates.  Position requirements include:


Our nationally known real estate client who lists more than 80% of the listings in NYC is seeking a talented and dedicated PHP Developer with a proven track record to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience building commercial, enterprise PHP and MySQL web applications. This is an on-site position, based in the midtown Manhattan office. Only local applicants who are authorized to work in the US will be considered.



Responsibilities

* Expertise on the LAMP stack using PHP

* Creating and using Linux OS shell tools and utilities

* Experience maintaining high-availability load balancer environments

* Proven track record in maintaining lamp stack with over 12 servers some of which are clustered
* Design, develop, implement, and maintain web software applications

* Solid background in Linux/Unix bash scripting

* Experience managing web servers, databases and version control systems
* Participate in project estimation and goal setting
* Deliver projects built to scope, according to agreed upon goals
* Create and perform unit and integration tests
* Create and maintain code documentation
* Debug and troubleshoot software defects


Qualifications
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
* 5+ years professional experience in object oriented PHP5 and MySQL application development
* At least a BS in computer science or related discipline, more advanced technical degree preferred
* Expertise building applications using PHP5, MySQL, and AJAX
* Solid understanding of object oriented programming concepts and principles a must
* Significant experience building Zend Framework applications
* Extensive experience with MySQL
* In-depth knowledge of software engineering processes
* Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of tasks, process, and products
* Excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, troubleshooting, analytical, and interpersonal skills
* Positive, enthusiastic, energetic, detail oriented, and self-motivated
* Ability to work independently and as a team member in a dynamic work environment
* Must be authorized to work in the US
