[joomla] Global redirect?

Hi Janet,

You could use an extension like sh404SEF and map all the individual links
to the new pages.

However, as you mention, there will be many old pages that won't be
republished. In that case, I would create a custom 404 page - error.php and
use the search module.

There is a good tutorial in Joomla docs that explains how to do this:
