I recently upgraded a 3.1 site to 3.2 and had a similar symptom.  The font end up and the back end was down.

The best thing to do in these cases is search google, removing your table prefix.

 

In other words, you are more likely to get a match on 

 

_postinstall_messages` WHERE `extension_id` = 

 

than

 

irzeh_postinstall_messages` WHERE `extension_id` = 

 

since other people don't have your table prefix.
