When upgrading to mysql 4 from 3.23.49.. do i have to recompile php?
I have checked out this link
http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/Upgrading-from-3.23.html..
I noticed some concerns on the mysql upgrade page about upgrading via
rpm under redhat 7.2. Would it be better to just unistall the rpm, then
compile, and install from the source?
Also we are using full text searching.. to do so with 4, and use boolean
searches would I have to rebuild all the tables, even if all our curent
table types are MyISAM..?
We figure its a good idea to install mysql max, are there any concerns
going from 3.23.49 to 4.0.3 max?
Regards
Ian
