[nycphp-talk] needed web programming tutor for 10 year old

I thought the student had basic English?
To solve this...
My first thought is for a bilingual friend or family member
to sit in on the sessions and translate.
Alternatively, if I prepare documentation in good simple
clear English and save in text only format, we can
run it through a free translation web site and probably
get good results.
Also, I believe that entry-level coded concepts
in CSS, XHTML and JavaScript presented in English, can be
made clear regardless of student native language.
Other entry-level concepts such as:
what is the internet,
what is a web server,
what is an HTTP header,
how does dynamic server-side processing work,
what is a database,
how does a browser work,
how to insert client-side code...
...all these are made most clear with schematic-style
illustrations, rather than lengthy descriptions.
I believe this could work out using one of the
scenarios I have described.
Feel free to email me at psaw at pswebcode.com if you'd
like to discuss more.
Warmest regards,
Peter Sawczynec, Technology Director

How does a candidate propose to overcome the language barrier?
