For the record, I think it's more a matter of how one goes about using a
particular tool than it is about the tool itself.  The tool itself does
absolutely nothing when not used by a person, and a person can use a Bose
system to annoy the neighbors just as easily as a Pioneer.  It's more a
matter of how clean, efficient and secure you are in annoying your
neighbors.
