in httpd.conf file be sure to include
  LoadModule php5_module "C:/your/installation/php5apache2.dll"

and
  AddType application/x-httpd-php .php

Then (after restarting) apache, try
http://your.server.com/info.php

(contents of info.php: )
<?php
     phpinfo();
?>

and see what happens...
