I dunno, I've attended and even worked on events that had more than 
100 people where we collected payment at the door. Hey, many bars do 
that every weekend.

If you want pre-payment, then set up a web site with PayPal and have 
a list of people who prepaid at the door. When they ID themselves, 
then let them in -- otherwise pay.

I really don't see the problem.
