My first toe in of a sales pitch is already over. 

In this SW Florida area where I am there is a surprising amount of CFM
in dynamic web sites. And, then a surprising amount of .NET.

I have to tell you, the area is very uninformed about opensource. In my
initial discussions with people regarding opensource (PHP) vs. CF and
.NET they are even seemingly disbelieving that there could be anything
as good and value intensive as opensource. 

That is why I am looking for quality corp. name users of PHP to put some
indirect big third party endorsement behind my pitch. 

I don’t mind informing people about opensource, but I really did not
want to appear some new fangled St. John preaching the near miraculous. 

But any further info on the downsides of CFM would still help me in the
long run.

We are moving away from CF. Finding talent is difficult, and what can be

done in CF
can be done CLEANER in a different languages. I'm speaking to the <tag 
this <tag that
syntax.

CF does have some nice PDF abilities and has been using "binded" queries

for a long time.

It is more $ because of the cf server - Hey Peter, sounds like we're 
doing research for your proposal! -= ]
